PROCEDURE FOR FOR FULL VINYL CHIPS
DAY ONE
- Rocks and grass are moved away from the concrete allowing the tuscany texture to flow over the sides.
- The surface is checked for any grease, oil and tar which will be removed this thinner (xylene.)
- The surface is etched with muriatic acid which will remove dirt and grime. Also opening pours or the concrete for proper bond.
- All Concrete is treated with ammonia; this neutralizes any acid left behind.
- Vapor Solve primer is brush + rolled on surface
- Let dry over night
DAY TWO
After surface is cleaned + blown off, second coat of vapor solve 100 is brushed and rolled on
DAY THREE
- Fill cracks on top of surface at no charge but concrete may shift so we cannot guarantee cracks.
- Control joints and along the walls will get a thin bead of caulking to cover any visible gaps or cracks. We do not fill them flush because of the shifting of the concrete. Again, we cannot guarantee the caulking.
- A coat of epoxy 550 is applied to surface acting as a primer and chip binder. A full broadcast is applied to wet coating.
- Clean up and let dry overnight
DAY FOUR
- Come back sweep and blow lose chips off surface.
- Apply first coat of polyurethane clear.
- Let dry overnight
DAY FIVE
- Blow down the surface
- Roll and brush the last coat of polyurethane UV.
- Aggregate is added for no-skid resistance.
- Surface can be walked on twenty-four hours after completion
- Vehicles and golf carts can be driven on surface five days after completion
